The Shire Horse at Wyastonb, nr Ashbourne in Derbyshire sounds great Muffin!! Can you make it there one Sunday Weekend Warrior?

Shobdan sounds good too at the end of November, Muffin. We will all have to have a chat about this - what do you think WGuy and WGirl?

Cap't BLME and myself decided to go for a motorbike ride! (Only took us two days to get back home!!!!). We went to Compton Abbas airfield - fantastic site. What an airfield!!! Unfortunately, we did not stay for lunch. But we will definitely go there again when we have more time!

We'll definitely have to do some lunch trips now that WhilryGuy has his licence! Shobdon sounds good, so do most of places you've suggested! It's so exciting to fly somewhere for lunch! Smile

Catwoman - 23rd November is a Tuesday. I have just checked my diary and both me and Mr WhirlyGuy have to go to the dentist that day. Crying or Very sad

I guess that counts us out this time. Sad

Made it back to Barnsdale Lodge for a coffee last weekend, and now have some pictures that I can post!

The one of us in the air was taken by Sebastian Krupa, one of the restaurant staff at Barnsdale.

Hi Rotorcraig!

Thanks for posting those great pictures! Must pop in there sometime. How many helis can get in do you think? We should put it on our list of possible venues for future get-togethers!

See you soon,

Last time I flew in with my flying school we got 3 helicopters in the fenced off area, and the rest landed the other side of the fence in the field (where the sheep are in my photos!) but there is no gate so you need to climb over!

Looks a good place to land!!!

We don't mind climbing over fences, gates etc.....

Done it once or twice before, can do it again....... Wink

Would be good though to make it one of our 'get-togethers' when the weather is kind to us!! Smile

Just a short interruption - also on Anything Goes............

You MUST MUST MUST buy D-Rail single - 'How Do I Say Goodbye' - all for a good cause - official Cancer research Song 2005 - go out order it now at HMV.

Written and co-produced by the one and only WhirlyGirl.

On the other note, hmmmmm, looking forward to 13 Feb at Shobdon and The Lake and we will try Barnsdale sometime.

Oh that sounds more than big enough for one of our get-togethers! Rotorcraig, what are they like with booking in etc. Do you need to give them much notice? How is the food? Is it a full restaurant or more of a tea and coffee kind of place?

Do you know if they have a website I can look at?
